Burger King’s Mozzarella Fries feature fry-shaped mozzarella cheese sticks coated with a seasoned breading and then deep fried.
A 12-piece order with marinara sauce cost me $5.39. A benefit of getting a 12-piece order over a smaller 4-piece order was that the Mozzarella Fries were packed pretty tightly together and retained their heat better.
Compared to Burger King’s previous Mozzarella Sticks, the Mozzarella Fries are just a tad narrower but are a good deal longer.
The breading was pretty thick and super crunchy with a light seasoning flecked with parsley. Inside the fries were decently melted but not super gooey. I’d recommend asking for a fresh batch if you have the time to wait. I heated some leftover ones in the air fryer and they melted nicely but lost that spectacular crunch.
The marinara sauce came in a sealed dipping cup and had a strong tomato paste flavor with a touch of garlic and a heavy dose of sugar. It didn’t go well with the Mozzarella Fries as it was too sweet and heavy in flavor.
Overall, Burger King’s Mozzarella Fries turned out pretty well for fast-food mozzarella sticks. However, you might want to try asking for a different dipping sauce or just popping open a jar of spaghetti sauce at home.
