After going through the Dollar Menu, the Dollar and More Menu, and then the $1, $2, $3 Dollar Menu, McDonald’s will be launching the new McValue menu starting January 7, 2025, as its new national value proposition.
Besides folding in the current in-app offers, local deals, and the $5 Meal Deal, McDonald’s McValue will introduce a new “Buy One, Add One for $1” offer on “popular items for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.” It’s like a buy-one-get-one-free deal except the second item costs $1. While it doesn’t quite roll off the tongue like the Dollar Menu, the new deal gives McDonald’s franchisees flexibility in terms of pricing (especially in light of further inflation) while encouraging bigger orders.
The “Buy One, Add One for $1” menu items for breakfast include:
- Sausage McMuffin
- Sausage Biscuit
- Sausage Burrito
- Hash Browns
The McValue Lunch/Dinner Buy One, Add One for $1 menu items include:
- 6-piece Chicken McNuggets
- Double Cheeseburger
- McChicken
- Small Fries
As part of the McValue launch, the $5 Meal Deal has been extended through summer 2025. The meal includes a choice of a McDouble or McChicken plus small fries, four Chicken McNuggets, and a small fountain drink for $5. In select areas, including here in Los Angeles, the $5 Meal Deal with the McDouble costs $6 while the McChicken version is $5.
