Stouffer’s expands beyond the frozen food aisle with the launch of a new shelf-stable line of boxed mac and cheese that it’s calling “Supreme Shells & Cheese.”
The new product is meant to provide a “more cheese-forward flavor profile” with “10% more cheese sauce than the leading shelf-stable shells and cheese product” (which would be Velveeta Shells & Cheese).
Each box of Stouffer’s Supreme Shells & Cheese contains all the ingredients necessary (dry pasta and liquid cheese sauce) to prepare the dish in 10 minutes on the stovetop.
At launch, the new product line comes in two varieties: Cheddar Cheese and Three Cheese (Wisconsin white cheddar, gouda, and parmesan).
You can find Stouffer’s Supreme Shells & Cheese at select retailers nationwide and on Amazon starting this month. A 12-oz box carries a suggested price of $3.99.
