Taco Bell is testing its take on hot chicken with the launch of the new Southwest Hot Chicken Crunchwrap.
Available for a limited time at participating restaurants in the Cincinnati area, the Southwest Hot Chicken Crunchwrap features crispy chicken strips tossed in a savory chile seasoning stuffed inside a Crunchwrap along with a three-cheese blend, shredded cabbage, sweet & spicy hot sauce, and reduced fat sour cream.
Prices for the test menu item range between $5.99 and $6.99 depending on the location. It is also available in a combo with chips & warm nacho cheese sauce and a large fountain drink starting at $7.99.
It was first showcased at a TBX event in New York City held in October 2024. TBX is Taco Bell’s program to highlight and support emerging culinary talents. The Southwest Hot Chicken Crunchwrap was created in partnership with Chef Lawrence ‘LT’ Smith from the program.
Hot chicken is a fried chicken dish that is a specialty of Nashville, TN. Its growing popularity has seen it grace the menu at KFC, Panda Express, Hardee’s, and more.
